The Life Study of Galatians, David Hearne This month I have really enjoyed the Life-study of Galatians (This is a series of messages given by Witness Lee). What I enjoyed specifically was the matter of walking by the Spirit. There are two different Greek words for walk in Galatians. Galatians 5:16 says, Walk by the Spirit and you shall by no means fulfill the lust of the flesh. The word walk here in Greek is Peripateo. Peripateo means to have your being, to walk at large; so to walk by the Spirit means to have your being, your daily walk, by the Spirit. This Spirit is the processed Triune God mingled with the spirit of the regenerated believers (1 Corinthians 15:45, 6:17). To walk, have our being, by the spirit is to take Christ all day instead of walking by our natural man or the law. This is to live Christ in resurrection. The issue is not to follow a bunch of rules or law, but to take Christ every moment as our life (Romans 8:2-4). The best way to take Christ all day long is just by saying Oh Lord Jesus (Genesis 4:26; 1 Corinthians 1:2)! Main | History | Testimonies | Links Copyright © 2002. Christian Websites.
